Immunoglobulins or antibodies are heavy plasma’s proteins, carrying sugar chains on their amino acids residues (N-link glycosylation or O-linked glycosylation). Antibodies protect the body from harmful pathogens. After the recognition of the antigen by the immune system, B cells differentiate into memory B cells and plasma cells. The plasma cells then produce the specific antibodies of antigen. Several B cells produce a heterogeneous mixture of antibodies, each one targeting a different epitope on the same antigen.
The production of polyclonal antibodies through rabbit immunization is a time- and cost-effective approach, which produces large quantities of high specific antibodies with a high affinity.

The choice of antigen is the key success factor of the project. Its available quantity, purity and antigenicity determine the magnitude of the animal immune response. Your antigen of interest can be analyzed by our experts to determine its immunogenicity and homology; depending on the selected species and/or any other molecule of interest.
